PROJECT PROGRESS

****WEEK 1 (14JULY-21 JULY)****

  • Requirement analysis was done by Reagan, Diphas, Ayikoyo, Tuhairwe, and Balangwe. This section has been entitled to balangwe who will do the compiling and typing.

****WEEK 2 (21JULY -28 JULY)**** 

  • Tuhairwe Charles created lecture timetable in XML and its main activity class

  • Ajuna Reagan worked on a student registration form which stores data in an external database.

  • Turyamuhaki Diphas worked on MySQL database tables for the timetable.

  • Ayikoyo Charles started on lecture status activities with its corresponding database tables.

  • Balangwe Moses on the hand, was working on the design document's introduction and the system architecture.

****WEEK 3 (28th JULY - 4th AUGUST)**** 

  • Tuhairwe charles  and Turyamuhaki Diphas finilised with the activities of creating,updating ,deleting and display of timetable.

  • Ayokoyo Charles finilised with  the lecturer's status and how to view it on the student side and started attempts to generate notifications.

  • Ajuna Reagan and Balangwe Moses worked on Lecturer's login and registration as well. The design document was in completionn too.

****WEEK4(4th AUGUST - 11 AUGUST)****

  • We combined the whole activities, rectified the bugs and made the documents ready for presentation which will take place on 13 August 2014

  1. WEEK1( 14th july-21 july)
    -we have already worked on the software requirement specification document.
    This document has the problem statement ,software requirements,functional requirement ,non functional requirements among other requirements.
    -we have interpreted the requirements into an abstract representation of our application(NOTICEBOARD).
    This framework of the application shows screen shots of the system, classes representing entities and the associations amongest them the attributes and the services/operation of each component.
    -We have divided the different components of the system to fully make use of modularity. Every member of the team is entitiled to produce reasonable work which will be assessed daily the group meets.

  5. having worked on the sql data bases with Charles, am now having trouble in retrieving the data back to the user's mobile device. this is delaying our design process as w are making intensive research on the challenge at hand but hopefully, by the end of this week.we should have made a promising come back

  6. On the other hand,Balangwe Moses is working on the design document as well as students' activities, interface and securities with Ajuna Regan.

  8. For this week, we are trying to integrate all the components to come up with a fully functioning system as described in the requirements document.

  9. i have finished system integration of all activities(login, register,creating, viewing and updating the timetable, sending and viewing lecturer status, courseunits according to years and so on).we are only remaining with notification activity to complete the application.

  10. i have finished with the requirement document and now working on the design document. most of the sections are complete and by the end of this week i expect to be through with it

  11. i have finished the design document and have also started on the implementation document that i will complete by the end of tomorrow
